This solo set bears that out, focusing to some extent, on songs that would be released in the future on his "World Cup" book and CD collection mixed with some other favorites appropriate for a solo set in a smaller space. Dan himself was ON FIRE at this time, his playing, creativity, and comfort onstage and with the audience all at an all-time high. A mellow festival in the beautiful High Sierra mountains of California.wonderful in every way! 2002 was a great edition for Dan Bern fans, as we got *3* Dan sets over the course of the weekend - 2 featuring Dan backed by the IJBC, his rock band at the time, and one solo late night show in a tent. High Sierra Music Festival is by far the best music festival I've ever been to. Yes, it's been a while since I last posted a Dan Bern show. And while I've been trying to do them chronologically (my last posting was BARN110, from 1/2/99) and I still have quite a few more from the '99 time period to post, this one comes somewhat out of sequence because it shared a DAT tape with a different set from High Sierra that I posted a while back and had been sitting on my hard drive waiting to be finished off for ages! Recorded, Transferred (), mastered, and tracked () by Scott Bernstein + = note there is a touch of digi-noise on the master DAT during the intro. * = w/Brian "Slim Nickel" Shey on ukelele
